How to Beat Xanthe

Xanthe fights in a mirrored chamber where the walls reflect her attacks. Every projectile she fires bounces once off a wall, creating unpredictable angles. The arena has four pillars that block reflections — use them as cover. Standing in the center of the room takes double damage from all reflected attacks.

Xanthe summons three shadow clones that each mimic one of her attack patterns: melee, ranged, and support. The support clone heals the others if not killed first. Identify and kill the support clone immediately — it glows faintly purple and stays at the back of the arena.

At 25% health, Xanthe enters her Matriarch form — a massive shadow entity that fills half the arena. Her attacks become screen-wide area slams with 2-second telegraphs. The arena shrinks as shadows creep inward, reducing your dodge space. This phase is a DPS check — you have 90 seconds before the shadows consume the entire arena.

This is the hardest fight in the game. Upgrade your Silver Sword to maximum, equip the highest-tier armor you have, and bring 15+ healing potions. The Matriarch phase is a DPS check — if your weapon is below +5, you will not kill her before the arena fills with shadows. Consider using a damage-boosting potion before the fight starts.

• Phase 1: use pillars to block reflected projectiles. Stay off-center.
• Phase 2 (clones): kill the support clone first (purple glow, back row). Then ranged, then melee.
• Phase 3 (Matriarch, 25%): switch to Silver Sword. Block high-mid-low pattern. Attack only after her slam recovery.
• Do not use Witchcraft in Matriarch form — it is completely immune.
• You have 90 seconds in the final phase. Use damage potions at the start of the transformation.

Xanthe drops the Matriarch's Essence, which unlocks Coen's full vampire lord transformation. This is the endgame power spike — it combines Swordmastery, Witchcraft, and Vampirism into a unified form available during night-phase. It also concludes the main Vrakhiri Court storyline.
