Boss Mechanics
Witchcraft Duel
Bakir is a spellcaster who fights exclusively with Witchcraft. Her attacks are all ranged: blood bolts, cursed zones, and teleportation strikes. She never engages in melee — trying to close distance triggers her blink-dodge, which repositions her behind you with a counterattack.
Cursed Zones
Bakir places lingering blood pools on the ground that deal damage over time and slow movement. Three zones can be active simultaneously. They last 15 seconds each. Use Swordmastery dash to jump over them — walking through applies a stacking curse that reduces healing received.
Phase Shift at 40%
At 40% health, Bakir splits into two copies that attack in alternating patterns. Both must be damaged equally — focusing one causes the other to enrage. Use area-of-effect Witchcraft to damage both simultaneously. The copies merge back at 20% health for her final phase.
Step-by-Step Strategy
Preparation
Max out your Witchcraft resistance through Ancient Circle visits — Bakir deals pure magic damage. Equip the Witchbane Amulet (found in Northern Swamps side quest) for 25% magic damage reduction. Bring mana potions to sustain your own Witchcraft for mirror-matching her spells.
The Core Loop
- Stay at long range and match her with Witchcraft spells — Ice Barrage is most effective.
- Never stand in cursed zones — they stack a healing reduction that makes the fight unwinnable.
- At 40%: use area-of-effect attacks on both copies equally. Do not focus one.
- When she casts, interrupt with a Silver Sword throw for a free damage window.
- At 20%: she merges and becomes vulnerable to a 5-second damage burst — use everything.
After the Kill
Bakir drops the Arcane Focus, a permanent upgrade item that doubles your Witchcraft mana pool. This is the most impactful reward in the game for magic builds — it fundamentally changes your nighttime combat capacity.
Rewards
- Arcane Focus (doubles Witchcraft mana pool)
- Unlocks Blood Moon ultimate ability
- Companion affinity boost
