How to Beat Brencis

Brencis fights primarily in vampire form, using fast claw attacks and shadow-based abilities. At 50% health, he transforms into a more aggressive form with increased speed and new attacks. His shadow clones mirror his swings on a half-second delay.

Brencis can summon shadow duplicates that mirror his attacks. These clones have low health but deal significant damage. Use area-of-effect Witchcraft abilities to clear them quickly. The phantoms always die to a single Ice-imbued area hit.

A grab attack that drains Coen's health and heals Brencis. The telegraph is a brief pause followed by a lunge. Roll sideways to avoid — blocking does not prevent the drain effect. The claws of the phantoms hurt more than the boss itself.

Upgrade your Silver Sword to at least +2, stock up on healing potions, and equip armor with good mobility. Brencis is fast — heavy armor will make you too slow to dodge his combos. Bring at least 10 healing potions for this 5-8 minute fight.

• Stay at mid-range to bait his lunge attacks, then punish the recovery.
• Use directional blocking for his claw combos — the third hit is always overhead.
• At 50%: burn through shadow clones immediately with Witchcraft area attacks.
• When he pauses for Blood Drain, roll sideways and counter with a full combo.

Defeating Brencis grants you Vrakhir Blood, which unlocks new vampire abilities for Coen's night form. This is a major progression milestone that opens up new combat options for the rest of the game.
