Quick Answer: Who Sells What?
Every vendor pays full price for everything — The Blood of Dawnwalker has no haggling and no price variation. What varies is what each vendor sells and, more importantly, which materials each blacksmith accepts for upgrades: the Tantari blacksmith upgrades your Silver Sword with ore, and the Swamps blacksmith crafts the Blood Rune required for the Ambrus confrontation. Knowing who converts what is the whole trading game.

The Upgrade Rule
Materials that a blacksmith wants (ore, Swamp reagents, Vrakhiri trophies) are always worth more as upgrades than as vendor trash. The moment an upgrade recipe exists for a material, stop selling that material — the Blood Rune is the endgame example: it is crafted from Swamps materials and gates the Ambrus confrontation entirely.
